I have an item listed with a "Buy it now" price of $300, but it is currently showing a bid of $315. How is that possible?

Hi @jt3151
You listed the item as an auction with an opening bid of $200. If you also added a Buy It Now price, that meant that a buyer could choose to bid $200 or buy it immediately for $300. In your case, the buyer chose to bid and the Buy It Now price went away as designed.

You listed the item as an auction with a Buy It Now option. The Buy It Now disappears once bidding has started.

Hello jt3151
The listing for the painting is an auction. You have had 10 bids so far and the auction has one more day to go so the price might continue to go up.

@jt3151 Congratulations! Your serigraph is worth more to buyers than you thought.
The buy it now is removed when bidding starts in most categories. It is "sticky" in some categories and stays as an option until the bids reach at least 50% of the Buy It Now price.

The second bidder either never saw the BIN price, or is kicking him/herself for not jumping on it when s/he had the chance (before the first bid at 15 Apr 2024 at 12:05:14am PDT).
