Seeking info / ID for wooden corner chair with letter "G" impression on back..

I would love to know more about this before I sell it.  I have been told it may be influenced by Spanish missionaries in California, but beyond that, I don't know much.  "G" stamped into the back shown in photos.  Any help would be appreciated..
