I need help to identify this - might be an antique silver match box

It has embossed figures and scrolls (might be Egyptian?)

It measures 4 5/8" from top to bottom.

It measures 1 5/8" across the top front side to side.

It measures 1 1/4" across the bottom from side to side.

When the flip top is open is has what appears to be compartments to hold small items.

I took the inside piece with compartments out and it is made of wood.

Probably a portable sewing kit.

It's called an etui and it's very likely 18th century. Look for a hallmark. French hallmarks are notoriously small.
