Any help on this Asian rice carrier?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, or Antiques group.

Someone on Facebook (not ebay) told me this is a Chinese rice carrier. But it's smaller than others I found online - only 6" long. She suggested it might be for weddings or candy. Wish I knew what the Asian letters mean! I'd like to ask for more $, of course, if it is more rare.

Any info very welcome!

Could be a personal rice carrier...certainly looks like one a worker would take for lunch. Looks old and well used. If your instinct says its worth more that the run of the mill ones, check it out further. See how long they were used before plastic/metal crept in. Good luck!
