Setting PayPal as main option for receiving payments and paying seller fees

I'm making my first listing and eBay is requesting my bank info. I already have a years old PayPal account with my bank account already linked. I want to skip the bank account option simply to use my PayPal account only

Sorry, but that option is no longer available.   Ebay now transfers your money directly to your bank after selling fees have been deducted.   The new process is called Managed Payments.  Under MP, you will have to provide your banking info to ebay as well as a social security number.

Until you exceed the $600 yearly threshold, they are only asking for the last 4 numbers of your SS. If and when you go past the $600 yearly sales, then you will be asked for your full SS number for a 1099 to be issued. This is how I understand it from reading posts and information when signing up. That is all I had to give them when I signed up.
