eBay has refunded my money to a scammer. Here is what happened. Buyer bought an item for $95. Filled a return for refund. Buyer sent back a $2 item from a bulb company with a tracking number they said was attached to my item. eBay said my item was “delivered” and that after inspection I was to issue a refund. I contacted the postal service, they checked the tracking number, have a photo of the package and item and it confirms that it was from the bulb company and not my item. eBay went ahead and issued a refund without my authorization and there is no way on their web site to resolve this type of scam please beware and please demand a phone number for customer service to explain such complex issues.
