Scratch 2 numbers

I know about the 3 and 4 number scam. I have a person requesting the last two numbers. Is this a new way to drain a card.  Thanks

If you give them the last 2 numbers, it wouldn't be hard to figure out the other 2 numbers they need to empty the card.

So they don't need the pin to drain the card?  If they get a look at the back of it they can drain it?

It doesn't really matter how much info it takes to drain a card.  

What matters is that no one ever give anyone any of the numbers from a gift card  ever.

Why would anyone be given the opportunity to view the back of a gift card unless they planned to use it?

If you question this, then you probably shouldn't be handling gift cards.
