Can anyone help me identify this doll. She is about 21" tall. She bends at the knees and she seems to be strung together but there are no markings on her.

I believe she is an unmarked Madame Alexander Cissy.

I had thought that she was too but her arms are not jointed and the back of her legs look different than the Cissy dolls so I'm stuck. With no markings I can't be sure, she does have clothes but they have no markings either.

what about her clothing, perhaps we can identify her that way. I do agree she is an unmarked Cissy,

Hi,

In fact, she does not have the distinctive features of the Madame Alexander's Cissy.

The arms, the shape, the hair do not look like Cissy's.

Maybe a clone ?

I found this info at doll reference.com/alexander_dolls 1948-1960 html. It said the very early Cissy had the arm joints but the later ones did not and it said they were not always marked. This is a pic of her in her dress, her underskirt is a little longer.
