I found this watch in a box of old estate jewelry. I don't know anything about it except it doesn't work and the post doesn't move at all. Can anyone tell me if it's authentic and how can you tell? I want to list it for sale but have no experience with watches. I would gladly take all the advice I can get.

Can you take it to a jeweler or a dealer who sells Rolex watches?

A high probability this is fake: Yet such is with photos: it is hard to say.
Oh and the crown should unscrew to set the watch. This is also done on fakes as well.
You will need to take it to a dealer of watches to find out if real or not.

I have found dozens of Rolex watches in estate sales over the years. Never once was one real.
Take it to a local jeweler and they should be able to tell you quickly if it is real. Don't attempt to sell it until you know it is real. And if it is fake, please throw it in the trash.
