Looking for vintage futon, folding sleeper couch information

This vintage futon is very heavy due to a metal frame in the mattress part. When the mattress is flat or open it measures 6' x 43" and arm to arm is 80" wide. Arm height is 22" x 30" deep. When it is in the seating position it is 33" high. The back has been recovered with mattress ticking material. Does anyone have any history or information on this type of futon? I saw one similar on an old episode of Frasier when they went to a cabin, made me LOL! Thanks in advance for any help!
