Yes, they can.

They can but very high postage may dissuade potential buyers from buying from you and even “reward” you with fewer stars for shipping.  Add the cost of packaging material to the price of the item.

You can 'ad' a 'handling' fee if you are using 'calculated shipping'. 

If you are using 'flat rate shipping' (your choice of cost) you can just ad it to that figure.

Nobody cares about 'stars' anymore, so that's not a thing.

But, you need to 'compare' your 'total price' of your item to your competition (if you have any)

DSR stars are meaningless they are merely a buyer’s opinion and don't count towards the seller on a the seller dashboard or seller metrics.

You can add your packaging costs to your shipping costs, but it might be better to add them to your purchase price if it's feasible. For most of my items my shipping supplies are bubble mailers so I don't worry about the extra shipping cost.

Yes you can and how you do it may differ by what you are selling.

Many sellers need not be concerned with what their competition is doing. Others need to be very concerned with what their competition is doing.

Some sellers and products need to be the lowest priced. Others can be priced higher based on their quality and condition, and the seller's reputation as well as their rarity.

You can often price higher if you are willing to wait longer for a sale.

There are many exceptions to any rule which sellers tend to present.
