Local Pickup

If I sell a $1000.00 item as Buy It Now for local pickup, customer purchases it and I arrange for him to pay cash upon receipt of item - and customer does not follow through, am I assessed a final value fee of $100.00 even though sale was never completed? Local pickup arrangements would be new experience for me as a seller and I don't fully understand the process. How would Ebay know if I got the money or would they care?

You are accessed a Final Value Fee the minute the item sells. It is in your best interests to let ebay know that your buyer didn't pay and this would be done through the "Resolution Center" by opening and closing an Unpaid Item case.
