UK buyer opened an INAD (damaged item) return case on 3/11 which I accepted. After we realized I could not print a return label, he agreed to repackage item and let me know the shipping cost (so I could immediately reimburse him) and ship it back “in a few days”. A couple days passed and I messaged him that the case could time out on us both. He replied that the coronavirus response was slowing things down there and that eBay had given him until 3/20 to ship the item back. 3/14, I contacted CS and they confirmed what he said (except I was given 3/19 as the deadline). I contacted buyer again later that day and asked him to just package the item (a book) as best as he could and ship it back. Never heard back from him. As of today, no word from buyer, no shipping notifications and no further return progress update messages. I want to be patient but it’s frustrating that the buyer has apparently dropped contact. What’s the correct and decent thing to do now under the circumstances?
