Hi eBay,
I have an issue where I bought some jewellery for £250 from an Australian seller. I was hit by a customs charge of nearly £60, but when the ring arrived its a cheap fake from Temu, and it turns out the seller even used the same photos as the Temu listing.
What can I do to get my money back from this seller and if possible can I reclaim the customs charge as the true value of the item is far below what the seller stated on the customs form? Or is this just an expensive lesson learned to Google image search before buying in future?
Any help or advice massively appreciated.

Go to your purchase history and click return item and select, the item doesn't match the description as the reason.
The seller will have 3 days to accept the return and pay return shipping or refund without returning.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.
The customs charge, you'll have to get with your customs office and see what you can do.
Report the seller for dropshipping from Temu.

Hi @y0rw0r5tn1tem4re - this question is better posted on community.ebay.co.uk as policies between sites can differ.
If the purchase was made here on .com I would advise you to:
1. Open a return request with the reason "item does not match description".
2. Visit this page to learn about refunds for customs payments:
