Are you asking about the format of the message?  If so, you can control the format that it is delivered into your email here:  https://commspreferences.ebay.com/commsprefs

If you are referring to the one word message "$250?", then , some buyers keep things short.  It could be because English isn't their native language or they might be an abrupt person looking for a deal.   Apparently they would like to know if you would take $250 for your item.
