What are the grayed-out ads on our listings?

Maybe, someone has already explained, but I missed it. What are all the grayed-out ads on our listings? Where the promoted ads used to be? Are they changing something?

@bill.purvis2012  I don't think everyone is seeing this, so I suspect many have no idea what you are talking about. I do not see it in Bing, but I do see it in Chrome. I assume it is some sort of glitch. This is what I'm seeing (and for me at least, the gray squares get darker and lighter, as if they are trying to load the images, but they just keep going from lighter to darker gray, no image ever appears.)

Which browser are you using?

I've seen that on Firefox, but they do eventually load, so I think it's a browser related glitch.

Well, I don't get the gray boxes with MS's browser, so I'm guessing this may be a glitch with all the testing that is going on.

@the-hook-and-the-loop

Is that intended to be humorous, or do you have evidence of that?

I wasn't trying to be funny at all. In fact, it would explain a lot of what's going on with eBay, for months.

This was an opinion. Is that against the rules here?

It comes across as a definitive statement that has absolutely no basis in fact.

FYI - DDOS attacks don't go on "for months".

Do you have proof or evidence of that?
