In trying to list today, I find that USPS Flat Rate Shipping options are missing. What happened to them?

You may possibly need to enter the correct dimensions (height x width x depth) in order for those options to appear.

To access these services, enter the following package dimensions when making your new listing:
USPS Flat Rate Envelopes (Regular or Padded): 12x9x1
USPS Small Flat Rate Box: 8x5x1
USPS Med Flat Rate Box: 14x12x3
USPS Large Flat Rate Box: 12x12x6
eBay Standard Envelope: 11x6x0.25
Try to enter the correct weight to allow for International Shipping estimates if you use EiS
This will let these options appear in your option list when you choose a service/class

This doesn't make sense: I ship in several sizes of med @ large flat rate boxes, all with different measurements. Can those measurements be entered also or only the sizes you noted?
I think with constant changes wo/notification or seller input: IT IS CLEAR EBAY JUST WANTS SMALLER SELLERS TO JUST GO AWAY, am I the only one thinking this way?

There are only 4 classes of FLAT RATE boxes
envelope, small, medium, large
it is irrelevant what size FLAT RATE BOX you use. If you want to see them as an option, you need to put these sizes in your listing....
I am aware there are 2 sizes of MEDIUM and LARGE FLAT RATE Boxes, but they both cost the same....
or maybe I am missing your point....

When I need to use a flat rate box, I click on the Carrier button--top left on my bulk listing page. It is next to the Custom button (which appears to be the default). Clicking Carrier causes a drop down menu to appear that has all the flat rate options.
I've never entered any of those flat rate box dimensions when listing.

This doesn't make sense:

That is correct. We just have to adapt to changes even if they seem senseless.
Big seller/small seller silll gotta do it the eBay way

No, the flat rate padded envelope is still available. Just listed a few things this evening and used the flat rate padded envelope.

If you can choose the regular flat rate envelope, a little further down is the flat rate padded envelope

I see that this thread has been answered to the satisfaction of the OP, but will add this shot of shipping options that I was offered just now when setting up a listing.
