Sellers' Petition?

Does anyone know if there is an eBay sellers' petition floating around anywhere which can be signed by frustrated sellers who are fed up with deadbeat buyers and the inability to leave negative feedback?

Re: Sellers' Petition?

Would signing a petition make you feel better? The current policy has been in place for around 10 years and eBay isn’t going to change it. Negative feedback for buyers is nothing but retaliation and even when sellers could leave negative feedback, it was NOT a deterant against bad buyer behavior.

Re: Sellers' Petition?

No.

You can list fixed price, immediate payment required, which will eliminate NPBs.

You can file UIDs, close them, and give the buyer a strike.  Just two will stop them from buying from thousands of sellers who have their blocks properly set to block those with two strikes in a year, for a year.

Negative feedbacks don't stop non paying bidders or buying; strikes do.  Negative feedback were driving buyers from the site, so ebay eliminated it in 2008, ten years ago.  It is like the Board rule against naming and shaming.  They won't go back on this.  IT has been in effect for ten years now.

It is in ebay's circular file.

Makes sense. Too bad they don't seem to be as concerned about driving sellers away from the site. Oh well.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm all but certain that feedback will be gone some time this year.

Re: Sellers' Petition?

Good loyal buyers are hard to come by.

In ebay's eyes any buyer is welcomed.

Sellers - if they lost some, they would only be replaced by others, so for ebay no big loss.

Why bother wasting your time?  It doesn't matter whether you are agree or disagree.  Only eBay decides.

eBay is really getting bad, they only protect the buyers, they don't give a **bleep** about the sellers.

If you google the phrase "ebay petition", you will find plenty of petitions that people have started on petition websites.

You could probably spend a weekend signing them (and giving out your email address to marketing firms).

They don't give a bleep about the buyers either. They care about the buyers' money. They bring far more money to the table than sellers.

Re: Sellers' Petition?

Are you on crack? once the stoped accurate feedback on a buyer fraud exploded. since that has happened ebay has attracted hte lowest quality, fraudulent and down right cheapest buyers of all to all accumulate at their site. these buyers have no shame in harrasing for a discount on an item worth only 1 dollar which includes free postage becaue ebay trained them that way

Re: Sellers' Petition?

if you accept an offer it overrides the imediate payment required and 100% of the time the buyer will not pay if you help them and except their offer
