Why the high fees on this sale?

Yesterday I sold an item for $385.00. eBay added $32.15 tax for a total of $417.15. From that amount I was charged $57.13 for transaction fees and $58.40 for Ad fee general for a total of $269.47. How can ebay take $115.53 from a $385 sale? Wow!
