I have been a small, boutique seller on EBay since 1999. Mostly part time. About 2007 I stepped up to sell because I had medical bills to pay off. I am not a “big seller,” but usually had enough to warrant finding more inventory to sell. I was told that I got better views when I had 100+ listings. Sales clipped along..then the fall of 2016 they slowed way down. I have added more inventory, changed prices, had sales, changed pictures, etc.
i am am convinced that people who have old listings or old inventory, are punished by some formula. One time a cust. Service person told me that my items don’t sell quickly. I told her that is called “turn,” and since I am not selling basic items my “turn’ is slower. I find it really interesting that a cust. Service rep is telling me all about “turn” when I was a retail buyer for years and know all about turn and inventory.
Can anyone offer input or answers?
