Where did they say they were going to go off eBay for the second one? There's a good chance that if someone wanted a second ticket, they would just make a special listing for that buyer or make a second listing for the other ticket. I can see why a seller wouldn't want to list the two tickets together if they aren't next to each other but are instead a few feet apart-- that's a recipe for a cranky buyer who didn't read the listing and then got upset that they got tickets for seats that aren't together.
