You were much more eloquent. 🙂

I can see why @ulfesharpe is a little confused - that's confusing! I agree with Simply the Best - some buggy whatever. The money was never instantly ours in Paypal, anyway - they just fronted us loans. Back in the day I knew of more than a few sellers who had their money just whipped right out of their Paypal account (or taken out of their linked bank account/CC) when a transaction went sideways. Happened to me with the several charge-backs I had down through the years, too.
Edited for tense tenses.

Outdated policy that eBay has not removed from your viewing. That's why it "slips back" as "eBay payments" is now the only way when you are in MP.

Because many Buyers are Sellers and sellers have no instant cash on PP nowadays. Impulse buy and the reinvestment cycle (restocking) via PP is gone. Deferring cash movements isn't great for commerce imho.

All good, helpful answers, unable to pick one as best. Thank you all. Wishing you a fortunate 2023.

Hey @ulfesharpe. That screenshot shows your payment business policies. When eBay switched over to managed payments that rendered the PayPal policy unusable. You can select it, but as you discovered it will just default back to MP.
When I first converted to MP I had to go in and manually delete the old PayPal payment policy. Well I guess I didn't have to delete it since it was unusable, but it's a good idea to delete it and keep your policies cleaned up.
In case you forgot where to manage your policies, go to this page and delete the old PayPal policy:

That's where eBay spendable funds comes in.

I still don't think that many sellers spend all their money on eBay as buyers. As I said before, the eBay ecosystem is nothing like it was back in the day - there are far, far more choices.
