Hey fellow sellers! The time has come for me to take another short vacation. I am just curious as to which method works for you, as far as your eBay business goes? I've tried it all--specifically closing my store down or changing handling time.
When you close your store down, the obvious downside is $ lost.
When you change your handling time, I've found that lots of buyers don't read it, and then you're stuck answering angry messages. What works best for you?
Thanks for the input!

Happy buyer , happy eBay , happy me

YOUR choice should depend on what works for you and what you are comfortable with...... you've obviously experienced both downsides........
I give up the $$........for my peace of mind

I will usually set vacation mode and update my handling time. I also edit the automatic notifications that are sent to buyers to reflect when I will ship the item (usually 2 business days after I'm back in town).
I rarely run auctions so this works for me.
If I was going to be gone more than a week I would likely hide my items.
