Is this a Genuine Hummel Bird Figurine?

I have this small porcelain bird figurine marked with incised crown and C.V. 110?

According to my research, this mark dates it to the 30’s-1950’s. But here are my issues: First, not sure Hummel made birds that early.
Second, the mold number doesn’t seem to match up to anything I can find.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Is this a Genuine Hummel Bird Figurine?

Not to be nit=picky, but to help you in research:  The bird is not a Hummel.  A Hummel figurine is one based on the drawings of Maria Innocentia Hummel.  Hummels are one line of Goebel porcelain.

Here is some info on the bird figurines from Goebel:

Re: Is this a Genuine Hummel Bird Figurine?

Yes, thank you!
It has the early incised crown…but, I am still trying to figure out more about it since the mold number doesn’t match any searches and I don’t see any other birds from the 30s to 50s.

Also, if it is authentic..does it have any value?

Thanks again!

Although I'm not familiar nor have I owned any Hummels or bird figurines as old as your item, I have a large collection of Hummels from the 90s and newer and can say that without a doubt, their desirability and collectability has all but disappeared!

While trying to thin a collection during the last 10 years, I've found that I can barely give them away. I've listed them at 10% (or lower) than original retail and they sit (and sit and sit). I've tried auctions, starting at $2.99 and even then, very few have sold and most were with just a single bid! (These are Hummels for which I'd originally paid $100 to $300.)

So in answer to your question about value, my experience says that there's not much value!

Sorry.

Wow! How sad 😞

I appreciate your reply! I had a feeling that interest was dwindling on these bird figurines.
Thanks you so much for your time and input!

Always worth a check of Completed Listings.  Here's one cursory search:
