Is Listing Fee Charged If Auction Item Sells?

I have used up the 250 free listings provided by eBay for this period. If I continue to list auctions beyond the 250, will I be charged the 35-cent listing fee regardless of whether the auction item sells or not? Or will I only be charged the 35 cents if the auction item does not sell?

Listing fees, including insertion fees, are charged when the listing goes live, and are not refundable.

When you go over your monthly allotment of free listings, yes you are charged for insertion fees each and every listing over 250 whether the item sells or not.

Just to add a bit more, as pointed out, you'll be charged the listing fee when the auction relists, however, if it's available and you check the box to automatically relist up to 8 times, you won't pay the insertion fees for each of the subsequent relists.

If this is going to happen to you on  a regular basis, as it appears you are doing GREAT with sales, you should consider doing a Basic Store, where you get a lot more free listings.  Plus you will lower your FVFs a little.  And other benefits that will help to completely pay for the cost of the Store in a months time.  It is likely you will SAVE money with a Basic Store.

On top of the regular free listings with a Basic Store you have up to 10,000 additional free listing opportunities in the following categories.

It is important to remember that Listing fees are for just that, listing the item on the site.  Selling fees AKA Final Value Fees are for selling an item.
