How do you calculate shipping for oversized packages?

You can go to the usps.gov site and plug in your dimensions and zip codes and you will be able to see the prices. I personally use FedEx for oversized packages because the price is much better.

You can check prices using eBay's shipping calculator:

Note that it has options to show either the retail price or the eBay postage label price.

 

But you don't really need to figure out the price; just set up your listings with calculated shipping. Enter accurate package dimensions and eBay will do the rest for you.

When you set up your listing, use a tape measure and scale to plug in the accurate dimensions and weight. The Ebay shipping calculator does the rest!

Heed the given here as there are plenty of posts from sellers who guesstimated and are bellyaching about losing money on shipping.

Not a bad idea to note in your listing that a package may be oversized and more expensive to ship. Of course that doesn’t mean buyers will ever read it and still will complain about high shipping costs being too high
