HTTP Info Link to Convert

Can someone provide me the link for the https converter? I have a template that needs updating.  It's been a while since I posted anything and I've lost my link.   TIA! -- Jeanette

If you have an old template to update, you'll need to first make sure that the image host is capable of delivering content over the https  protocol.

To convert Active listings, you can simply use eBay's bulk editor to find http: and replace with https: instead.  Your current listings don't have an HTTP issue, so I assume the old template is not in use right now.

To modify your template prior to using it in a listing, you can paste the HTML code into the Sandbox tool and click the SCAN button.

Then scroll down and open the the Filtered tab where you can copy the modified code.

While your active listings don't have an HTTP issue, you do have one listing with an active link to photobucket that will need to be removed:

For sellers whose templates include rather small graphics, there is an alternative to hosting them. Those graphics can be converted to Base64 encoded text strings that modern browsers will understand and display as an image. Candidate graphics for this conversion should be lightweight, like under 10K in file size, and certainly no more than 50K.  The reason to convert only the smallest graphics is that a very large block of code will go into your listing where a simple image URL was once located, and embedding too many or too large an image text file will push against the 500K text limit that ebay places on descriptions.

When I created this test template, I decided to highly compress the jpg banner and convert it to a base64 text string to use it in the stylesheet. All the other product photos in that template are hosted images.

Re: HTTP Info Link to Convert

Thank you so much Shipscript.  You've pulled me out of a tight spot more than once.  Honestly, I forgot about you.  (For shame!!)  I will re-read your post.  I know you said I don't have any affected listings, but I have one that I had to totally redo because of the photobucket issue, and that's what I think ebay is complaining about.  They won't let me list it as is.  Thanks again, I appreciate your help, and that of everyone else who helped me, too.
