Especially in my case right now where a package finally got delivered after being in the hands of the USPS for over 2 months. Ebay of course forced me to refund the customer and now the package has appeared and shows up as delivered.
OK. I've seen this problem talked about on the forums before. The only solution as per ebay support is to ask the customer if he would be so kind as to send the money back.
Here is the problem however. I have to communicate with this buyer on ebay obviously and how exactly do i do that? Well i got to use the messaging system where i explain the situation which in it self was a hurdle because the transaction happened over 90 days ago, but i managed to fix it by digging through links from the transaction that i saved in a textfile on my computer.. phew. The buyer receives my message, is sympathetic and agrees, the slowdown with USPS is not my fault after all. He asks me how he can send the money back to me.
Should be an easy fix right? Wrong!
I try to send my paypal payment info and what do i see?
Offers to buy or sell outside of eBay are not allowed. Please edit your message before you send it.
No ebay, i don't want to sell outside of ebay i just want my money back that you so generously donated to this buyer.
So i decide I'll just try to find the transaction in paypal, but whaddayaknow i cant find any way to send him an invoice there neither because they too for some reason stopped giving out emails.
No luck there either. So what do i do next? I try to be creative, try to make a cryptic message for the buyer that he will have to decipher on his own, replace . with dot and @ with (at), but i still get the same error message.
It's really just so **bleep** frustrating at this point. So now i have done as i saw some shady buyer did with me at one point. I sent a screenshot of notepad with my paypal info on it, but this seeming so unprofessional would probably give a buyer that is on the edge of whether he could get away with not paying the impression that he can indeed get away with it.
I'm seriously so fed up with it all.

Find the order in the Orders section. Click on the drop down arrow and select "View Order Details". The email address and phone number are shown in the details.

The photo got censored on his end... Could not see it.
He suggested i make a random listing that he would buy instead so it seems like it will work out, but still. This is one heck of a clusterbleep to go through for something that could have been solved easily.
All of this because ebay is paranoid about losses.

You can't send invoice in Seller's Hub? I just went to the oldest sold, paid & delivered item in my Seller's Hub and was able to bring it up, didn't go any further but I assume I'd have been able to send one.... ?

They removed that info ages ago. I've not been able to see emails for probably a couple of years know.

Try this. Let me know whether it works.
(Find the appropriate transaction.)
(On the left-hand side of that transaction, activate the dropdown menu.)
(You should see the buyer's email address.)

There actually is a secret way to communicate personal info through eBay messaging. PM me if you want to know how.

We were able to see it this morning.

One other step she forgot to tell you or she did not know about.
After selecting Invoice For Your Own Records go to the bottom of page,
select
Edit invoice and address label template
On the net page make sure to check box
Add buyer email address to invoice
If it is not check their actual email will not appear on any of the invoices.
