Final value fee - variable percentage

Brief story - listed a boat trailer and paid the £14.99 listing fee. It sold for £62 and the buyer collected and paid cash on collection. I am aware that I would need to pay a final value fee but can’t understand why EBay have charged me £25 ! In total I have paid them about £40 for a sale of just £62.

As previously suggested, you'll get more accurate advice on your "home" board. While you're more than welcome here on the U.S. board (ebay.com), there may be subtle differences in the two sites that will make answers from your fellow UK sellers more reliable.

You might get more useful help if you ask your question on your home site, eBay.uk.

In the US, there is a flat fee for listing and no final value fee on an item listed like a car, boat trailer, motorcycle etc.  The UK may have a different schedule.
