I noticed a competitor started using the Promoted Listings function and decided to respond by promoting some of my own listings. I opened up the Manage Active Listings Page, and clicked through to the promoted listings dialog box from the Action dropdown window, the big blue Promote button, and the Promote link in the Action column in front of the individual listings. The result is always the same, and error message: “There was a problem promoting your listing. Please try again.” This happened yesterday and today, and it is looking like I have been excluded from promoting my listings. The only thing I can think of is that I just turned my store back on after a week of overhauling my computer. Are sellers are not allowed to promote listings within a time period of turning the vacation setting off? Other than that, why would I be blocked from promoting items in direct competition with items being promoted by another seller?
