Did I miss something? When did that happen?

I have clicked on my own user ID, something I do not often do - and all the people who used to follow this selling account, as well as those accounts I used to follow  (including their Avatars) are gone. When did this happen, and what purpose would that accomplish?

Is eBay removing the list of whom we follow and who follows us, in fear that we might make a repeat buyer happy? Or does it have to do with their fear that, for those who do not engage in the paid PROMO (who do not think paying for additional exposure is something that they wish to do) might just accidentally pick up a sale through the followers / following lists?

WOW !!!! I looked and I had over 300 followers and they are all gone as well !! And ebay wants me to trust them with my bank account ????? SELLERS YOU BETTER WISE UP !!!

If you add followers#followers to your profile you can see this information for now. The buyers can see the sellers they are following from their watchlist. I think eBay is trying to make it harder for hackers to see user names. The can look at the fallowers and find users with no active feedback then target them to be hacked. Since there is no active feedback such accounts are less likely to be watched by those users as they are not actively using eBay .

In the future the URL trick may not work.

no offense but that is hog wash in my opinion !! If ebays site is that insecure then I want no part of them ! And they want to handle our money ????? I just feel they are putting the sellers in a noose !!!!!

I used my followers as a selling tool sometimes !! Some collectors that were following me would be more interested in just certain relic types so I would go back thru them and advise them when I may be listing something I thought they would be interest in ! And not behind ebays back !! Most of my followers were buyers ! I would safely say about 80% of them ! I am sure I am not the only seller that used this to help keep potential buyers up to date on upcoming listings !

ebay is erasing anything that would help out a seller !! They must be paranoid someone might make a buck without them knowing lol !! But they forget that to message a follower that message would go thru ebay anyway !! You really at this point cannot accuse ebay of being a very wise company ! Before they are done they will change their way out of business !! They are already forcing many sellers away with the mangled payment system that only benefits ebay ! regards

That is exactly what I suspect has happened. They do NOT want us to use our follower list for make an extra sale, here and there. Rather, they seem to want to channel us all into paying for promos. Not going to.
