CATEGORY FLOODED WITH MISPLACED LISTINGS

This problem has been increasing for a couple of years. My niche is Theater Memorabilia. People selling inexpensive reprints of movie posters (and the like) have been listing in my category, often pages and pages of listings at a time. This makes it difficult for browsers interested in theater collectibles to find the sort of things that they are looking for and I think that this results in fewer sales (in a category that is already beset). This morning, in addition to the usual batches of misplaced posters, a Japanese company has listed pages and pages of non-theater merchandise, sort of Nipponese Fan Club kind of stuff, some of it verging on porn, and one listing outright porn, featuring a bare-breasted model (yes, I reported it.) As far as I can tell, ebay has no place to report listings that are in the wrong category, and they are appaently not interested in policing this. But to clutter up a site with incompatible merchandise is a sales-killer for those who do list in the correct category.

Re: CATEGORY FLOODED WITH MISPLACED LISTINGS

It's the same thing in the cookbooks category. Half the books listed in aren't cookbooks at all. Over two years, multiple emails and conversations, multiple reassurances that something would be done...and surprise, surprise, nothing is done.  Ebay doesn't care.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.
