Buyer “didnt authorize the purchase”

Sold this heavy, couple hundred dollar item a couple days ago.

Spent an hour packaging it last night and bought the expensive label with the shipping they paid for, woke up planning to ship this morning but got this message.

Best course of action? Refund without the shipping, or what?

You don’t have any choice but to refund the transaction. Unfortunately our time to prepare a package is not something we can withhold.  You can always block the buyer if you feel so inclined.  Sorry about that situation.

You should be able to request a refund on the shipping label if it was not used.

You can go back and void that label for a refund.    Your lucky it was not already shipped.  Place that joker on your blocked bidder list too.

No you have to refund everything. Go into your orders and click on shipping labels. Request to cancel the label because you didn’t use it…then the USPS should refund you within 2 weeks. Yes, it is inconvenient, but that is what you have to do.

Best course of action @fruitsandveggies75 :

1. Void the unused label

2. Cancel the transaction and select the reason "buyer asked to cancel"

To void a shipping label purchased through eBay, go to this page, find the order and select Void from the Actions drop-down. The void option is available for 5 days.

It takes between 2-4 weeks to receive a refund on an unused, voided label. You'll see the refund on your original source of payment (bank, credit card, etc) and the funds will appear in your account without an email notification.

If you don't have the avaliable funds to cover the refund, you'll have to pay the refund.

When the buyers payment is avaliable, those funds will be sent to you.

If you void the shipping label, those funds will be refunded in a couple weeks.
