Did you mean:

Am I the only one getting a notice that 26 items I'm trying to relist have policy violation?

They're all different categories, and have all been listed before. I called, but No English spoken today, apparently. Got transferred then hung up on.

They didn't speak enough English to tell me whether it is a known corruption, or whether they reported it.

And now I've missed the best listing time.

@prettynice444

What policy/policies are you supposedly violating?  Can you drill down to tell?

Since you didn't state the policy violation, I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and say the if it's a Active Content violation, and you used Turbo Lister as your upload tool. You then have to revise each listing, and delete the TL logo at the bottom of your description.

Perhaps surprisingly I did NOT get a notice that 26 of your items have policy violations. laughing

Nor, to answer your actual question, did I get any notices about my own.

List more, sell more. Goodwill that other, uh, stuff.

Feeling sleepy? There's an app for that.

@prettynice444

I scanned your current listings here to highlight the policy violations.

http://isdntek.com/ebaytools/ActiveContentScanner.htm

It looks like the majority of the issues are from the PrettyBordersPlus templates that include non-secure graphics and a link back to the source. The site has been updated to avoid those two issues, but for relists of existing listings, you will need to address both of those issues.

Changing http to https will eliminate the non-secure problem, but the graphics will also disappear.  Then to address the non-eBay link back to the site, remove this line of code in your listing:

href="https://www.isdntek.com/tagbot/prettybordersplus.htm"

You can bulk remove that line from all of your current listings using the find/replace feature of eBay's bulk editor. Since you are using Turbo Lister, that tool also has a bulk or advanced find/replace option.

If you are using the same graphic in all of your listings, you may be able to bulk replace those using eBay's tool. This will only work with eBay's online bulk editor if the replacement is less than 1000 characters long.

find

https://www.isdntek.com/tagbot/backgrounds/xbubbles_gray.gif

replace with this base64 data

data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhIAAgALMAAAQCBISChMTCxP///wAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACH5BAEAAAMALAAAAAAgACAAAwShcMgphaA462zr3UMggtRXbaOUbubUqloAvgMtZzdb4mDOfR2MT0gBADBBHmpyHDRJkyFM84RKQ8zixlhdrZzNqlYiFl3BW4wYChKv2VT1LEn5OrO6U/T25c6QU3Vwei6BUYM1gGdnGiYfi4g1dFKMiJQkZmwpdnU5nDiVWIIZRiSlhodxqk1XQ09rVUetY2SkY0OutGNPXrm1W2uZVKeRbBEAOw==

You can translate your PrettyBorders background graphics to base64 data at this site:

http://isdntek.com/tagbot/tagbot_base64.htm

That tool has a character counter that will tell you if the graphic is short enough for eBay's bulk Find/Replace. I don't know what the character limit is within TurboLister.

A base64 graphic is embedded directly in the code and does not require a server, so security is not an issue. However, it is important that only the smallest graphics be coded this way to avoid generating a fat description file. Gratuitous graphics should not interfere with, or delay, the delivery of the important information, and all of the background graphics at PrettyBordersPlus are extremely lightweight.

Thanks for the long explanation, and for giving me back my bubble border!

Of course, I deleted all the http months ago, but now this. I do NOT have Turbo lister - I have XP, and Turbolister won't work on it anymore, as ebay decided to abandon all XP sellers. But I guess I originally used it a while ago. Unfortunately, I can't find and replace the 2 links in bulk edit - it won't delete them. So I have to do it manually, which completely sucks...and it does not like your very long base64, I guess.

Anyway, I can't spend any more time on this, and ebay sure as shoot will not help, so I'll have to wait until they can give me a real tech there.

Tbh, you're not likely to get a more "real tech" from eBay than shipscript is.

What's more, Shipscript speaks 'tech' AND English.

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

If I'm reading between the lines right, the template you're using was written and provided by Ship.  If so, I'm not sure how you think a site/corporate tech would know any more about the issue than the author.

I am not saying he's not a real tech, as he obviously is.

I am saying ebay helpers are none of them real techs, and sometimes you have to insist on it when you call.

Find and replace in bulk edit does not work to replace the urls I have. And it still gives me the error with the new bubble script he gave me. (which won't work for my border...:( ) To clarify, the error says I'm linking to an outside website, even though I have (manually) deleted each one.

I do enjoy my borders, but seems I may have to give them up.

"Linking to an outside website" would probably be referring the credit link at the bottom of the description. You can wipe out the entire PrettyBordersPlus link down there if you want, and you can wipe out the Turbo Lister link too if you want.  The new bubble code should not create any sort of problem with eBay.

With the attitude, about your only option will be to just keep waiting for eBay to help you with your issues or pay a consultant. Shipscript has thicker skin than I, but there's a limit to anyone's patience....

Username is quite ironic in this context. Intentional?
