Listings not showing in category they are listed in.

When i make a new listing it will show in the category i listed it in as "newly listed". If it doesn't sell and gets "relisted" it does not show in the category it's listed in. If i end a listing that doesn't show in the category list, then "sell a similar" the new listing will show. After 30 days if it doesn't sell then ebay automatically relists it it will not show....same problem. Yes, a search will pull it up if a buyer knows the item number or description but someone browsing/scrolling through the category it does not show. I've checked this with other sellers listings and the same problem. I've talked to ebay through chat 3 times. 2 found the same thing, listing not showing.

Here's an example: i go to one of my listings that has lets say 2 hours before the listing ends. I click the category at the top of the listing page, click ending soonest and scroll down to the listings ending in two hours and mine does not show.
