Is there a Bar Code scanner for listing books?

Firstly, being the wrong side of 55 I have very little knowledge of computers, technology and the like hence my hope that someone can assist. I did search through the community pages but all the answers were at least 3 years old and didn't reveal anything to someone with my capabilities.

I am busy selling off a large collection of transport books gathered over 30 years and its going well so far. I haven't yet signed up for the managed payments thing as it looks like a lose, lose situation for the smaller seller like me and so I am now banned from revising or listing anything but if I were to find a scanner then I might consider doing so.

Any help, in simple terms, is very much appreciated as I have spent weeks listing individually.

Even posting this question was like an Army assault course with Ebay requesting labels and such. What are they?
