Started what I thought would be a simple update to my sports card template since some area have changed. pulled up a new template and used 3 cards as a test. all filled out exactly in the past except condition id i can now only be Ungraded or graded I believe although they still had 3000 Used on the tab of the template. 2 nd required change is Card condition no hints iof what it should be so i looked at what the options are if just listing a single card choose Near Mint or Better and received the error message in the subject line. Went to help chat and the best they could offer was a pdf on creating templates with no information on the are I have a problem with. any help would be appreciated after a frustrating 4 hrs of multiple changes and attempts . When will ebay realize trading cards are one of the biggest categories and train help personel to be able to help or create a booklet with the info in?

FINALLY SUCCES woke up to a new day with fresh start used the numerical codes in spread sheet for near mint and low and behold it worked. On to my next ebay adventure as I still have a few strands of hair left. Thinking to add a scheduling colum but will have to check my patience level.

I'm glad you got your Seller Hub CSV upload working. I'll repeat the values from my earlier post, since they seem to be hard to find. The values must be gotten from a table of numbers. For ungraded cards, the numerical values to be used in cells below the CD:Card Condition - (ID: 40001) heading are:
400010 | Near mint or better |
400011 | Excellent |
400012 | Very good |
400013 | Poor |
The interpretation or analysis of these condition descriptors can be found here:
https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/selling/selling-trading-cards
And there is a different set of interpretations for trading cards vs card games, although the numbers will remain the same.

Since this is first hit on search i cant get this to work for anything but NM condition
this works:
CD:Card Condition - (ID:40001) |
Near Mint or Better - (ID: 400010) |
but anything else does not
CD:Card Condition - (ID:40001) |
Excellent - (ID: 400011) |
Poor - (ID: 400013) |
Very Good - (ID: 400012) |
Not sure what it wants
Error - The Condition descriptor 400012 is not valid for condition 40001.|The Condition descriptor 400012 is not valid for condition 40001.|The Condition descriptor 400012 is not valid for condition 40001.|40001|400012|
ive tried

Are you using the XLSX spreadsheet with droplist values, or are you adding values to your own spreadsheet?
I have found that the XLSX droplists do not work until the Category Name is first selected from a droplist in a cell under that heading; then droplists become available for other values. The droplist values are taken from hidden worksheets within the same workbook.
The next required field in that worksheet is the Condition ID field, with the value 2750-Graded or 4000-Ungraded. After that value is selected from a droplist within a cell, the grading fields will become available as droplists for that item.
I have also found that I can set a ConditionID of 2750 or 4000 when building my own spreadsheet.
Here is a card revision that I uploaded last week to revise two listings:
Action | ItemID | ConditionID | CD:Professional Grader - (ID: 27501) | CD:Grade - (ID: 27502) | CDA:Certification Number - (ID: 27503) | CD:Card Condition - (ID: 40001) |
Revise | 225797136510 | 4000 | Very good - (ID: 400012) | |||
Revise | 386159221445 | 2750 | MNT Grading (MNT) - (ID: 2750114) | 8.5 - (ID: 275023) | 987654 |

Most comments you will find are based on sports trading cards. Collectible card games have a different set of values, and now we see why "Near mint" worked, while the other values did not.
Near mint or better - (ID: 400010)
Lightly played (Excellent) - (ID: 400015)
Moderately played (Very good) - (ID: 400016)
Heavily played (Poor) - (ID: 400017)
The spreadsheet will also accept shorthand (which I have already tested in a revision):
400010
400015
400016
400017
I just posted a worksheet of values to my website, so will link it here for you:

OK. What about for graded cards?

Are you looking for the codes for graded cards?
Graded cards require 4 columns:
ConditionID = 2750
CD:Professional Grader - (ID: 27501) = [select from list of graders for card type]
CD:Grade - (ID: 27502) = [eBay code for a 1 - 10 grade]
CDA:Certification Number - (ID: 27503) = [ex. AB123456 provided by grader]
The spreadsheet would look like this:
ConditionID | CD:Professional Grader - (ID: 27501) | CD:Grade - (ID: 27502) | CDA:Certification Number - (ID: 27503) |
2750 | MNT Grading (MNT) - (ID: 2750114) | 8.5 - (ID: 275023) | AB123456 |
2750 | 2750114 | 275023 | AB123456 |
The first three columns (above) are numerical eBay codes. The fourth column is the actual certification number from the grader.
When filling out the spreadsheet, the cells can contain the full description (as in the first data row) or merely the numerical representations (as in the second data row). For instance, the "MNT Grading (MNT) - (ID: 2750114)" can be supplied as simply "2750114".
If a grade is 8.5, the code is "8.5 - (ID: 275023)" or can be stated as "275023".
I've compiled a summary spreadsheet table here for sports cards and non-sports cards:

No. Was looking for what to put for CD:Card Condition - 40001
Realized if for a graded card, you leave it blank.

Yes, that is correct. Notice the numbering scheme, and that all extended codes that start with 2750 are for graded cards and all code extensions of 4000 are for ungraded cards.
