Need Help w/ID Antique 19th Century Salt Glazed Ovoid Jug

hi everyone.  i found this the other day and i've been meaning to post some pics here to see if anyone can offer any insights into this piece.  I can't find any markings on it for sure, but there's a couple of spots that look like they might have been marked, just not that well.  one of those is on the base.  there's another area along the center that might have been marked with glaze and just worn off.  i've never seen a piece of pottery with as much wear to the base.  the outer edge of the base is worn quite smooth.  anyway, the piece is 10 7/8 inches in height.  any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you so much.  i've been so busy with the holidays, i forgot to check back on this post.  i have never heard of crockerfarms.com.  it looks like they're exactly the place to send pics.  they say they will be gone until after the first of the year, but i just sent them these pics.
