Need Help Please With Signed Name & ID Of 5" Gold Scarab Glass Plate

This is a 5" gold covered glass plate with scarab design.  It is signed on back with name beginning La but can't make out rest of name.  Thank upi for help.

Typical fused and slumped glass. There were shops in the 1990s where folks would go and assemble things like this and the shop had a kiln to fuse and slump the item. Check Higgins fused glass for an idea of the professional art type items. I do not think this is Higgins.
