Milk glass shell dish, old or junk?

I can't tell if this is old glass or **bleep**. It's very thick and has a bluish hue. Any insight would be appreciated. Someone write something on the back but all I can make out is hotel.

Yes. They write Hotel something with a description that was too faded to read. I figured it was stolen from a hotel as a souvenir.

I love It, it is the perfect shape for a soap dish. I love  milk glass, when I see it at a sale I have to slap my hand to not buy it all!

Did you ever find out who made this? I just bought same one and in trying find the manufacturer came across your post and this is the only other one I've seen in all my searching.
