Need help identifying maker. Sunburst with a number 5. Based on design I think it's Wedgewood but I know nothing about majolica. Thank you in advance!!!

Majolica cakestand - Wedgewood?

It's not the famous UK brand, which is spelled Wedgwood (only one "e").

There were a lot of copies made, which used the name Wedgewood (with two "e"s), but they always spelled the name out (albeit incorrectly) because they were trying to imitate Wedgwood.

The Wedgwood pattern I found has a scalloped edge. There are a few like yours on the worthpoint site, marked with initials for Wittman Roth, sometimes spelled Wittmann, but that's not a reference. Search for Wittman Roth plate.

Here's another thread looking for the same mark. That discussion was leaning towards a Bohemian maker: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Archive-Pottery-Glass-Porcelain/Majolica-Pottery-Plate-Does-Anyone-Rec...
