I have exhausted all my searches🙇‍♀️... I know there are knock offs out there but I don’t want to mistake a rare Florence piece for an Imitation💁🏼‍♀️. Your item is a 'Baby Flower Holder', pictured on pages 90 & 128 of the Doug Foland book, 'Florence Collectibles, The Age of Elegance', published by Schiffer Publishing in 2000. According to the intro to the book, Florence items were produced from 1939 to the mid 1960s. Your flower holder appears to be authentic to me, and not a repro, but then I am not an expert on Florence. As an aside, we bought this book when it came out in 2000, when we found the Florence 'Bride' at a local estate auction, which we listed and sold here on eBay for $1906 on 1/2/2001 (I have kept an excel database of top dollar sales that we sold here since the beginning in 1996). Things have changed some since then. The above reference shows a value of $75-100 for your flower holder, but from my recent experience selling Florence figurines here, best guess would be $20-25, if it sells at all. Good luck with your flower holder.

Your answer was so thorough and quick!! I really appreciate you taking your time 😊 to help!!

I hate listing  something blindly or falsely. At least this gives me something to go off of. 😀
Thanks again for your time & helping out a fellow ebayer! 💚. kk

Authentic-Imitation? Florence Ceramics-California

No problem, glad to help.

In 1996 when this all began, there was little to no research available on-line for most specific collectible categories, so books were the answer. We spent hundreds each year on subjects such as Florence, and were glad to do it because selling prices were so great. We now have a huge library, but it is not as useful as it once was, mostly because prices have declined so seriously. Some of the books are now out of print, and publishers like Collector Books, Schiffer, and other such publishers, as well as their dealers, have had a difficult time. Our local book dealer has almost given up, and her inventory is mostly out of date. Glad we were able to help.
