latest update: app now shows 19 unread messages when there are none

I installed iOS version 6.114.0, and ever since then the "My eBay" page says there are 19 unread messages, when in fact there are none.  I've checked in the app and with a browser.  When I do get a new message, the number on the My eBay page goes up to 20 (or whatever).  After I've read the (real) new messages it goes back down to 19. 

I've checked my messages with both the updated and classic views, and there aren't any unread. 

Of course, it would be nice if there was an "unread" filter in the app or the website, but I guess that's a different issue.

Having the same issue on the latest Android app. There's even an "unread" filter on mine (in classic mode of messages), and when I switch that filter on, it shows no messages unread. But the main app menu still says 3 unread messages. 

Lots of other annoying issues on the app at the moment as well.

It is happening again.  On the eBay app, it is telling me that there are 9 unread messages.  I actually have 0 unread messages.

I tried to close and reopen, and sign out and back in… still shows 9 unread messages.

Hi there I’m having this issue on IOS currently it says I have unread messages in the new messenger but in classic view I’m all caught up.
