revising feedback

 I recently purchased an item that came with two batteries. One of the batteries turned out to be defective. I contacted the seller and was told to contact the manufacturer and have them determine that said battery is defective. Then contact the seller again with the name and info of the person I spoke to at the manufacturing company so, they could  in turn call the company and verify what I had reported ( to the seller). Then if they learned the battery was defective they'd replace it. I'd like to change the feedback that I left the seller. Can I do that and should I do it?
