My **guess** is that the JG stands for joyería Guadalajara, the rest of the mark says Hecho en México 925 but I'm sure you knew that.

 

It's from before the 1980s, but no idea beyond that. I did a brief look, and this is a trove of information on all things silver:

Have yet to search for Joyería Guadalajara, but I'm sure I probably will.

Looked it up. There are loads of examples of this design, some with the same mark, some different. Idk if you're going to find the exact silversmith/shop. 

 

Two of the other examples had stated it was from the '40s, but with no evidence to support that date. Plausible.
