Vintafge ethnographic 17" "fetish" necklace

This should be at least 40 yrs old....as it was part of the estate of an 82 yr old woman, that was packed away....many years ago. This is an etnographic necklace with marcasite-colored carved round beads, uneven rondelles and birds. There is a heart-shaped pendan, with repousse carved design....starfish?) and other items).     This has an approx 17" drop. It has some weight and clacks together.    TYIA

There is a chip and some abrasion down to a gray medium.

Mexican for sure. I have something similar that I bought new, and it had a Made in Mexico tag right on it. It's some kind of pottery.

She who dies with the most toys still dies; when's the estate sale?

The little bird beads are like those made in Oaxaca.
