OT...What a coincidence.

I find things like this fascinating.
Kev picked up a box of old magazines at an antiques store and I was going through the Hollywood type ones because the stories and the ads crack me up. Of course, I'm always looking for vintage jewelry ads as well.
I was looking at a Screenland magazine from 1946 and I happened to read the address label where it had been delivered to the subscriber back in August 1946.
Turns out, the address is across the street from where we live !
This magazine was found in a NJ antique store and we live on a small side street in a somewhat small town in Mass.
What are the odds I wonder ?

It really is a small world.......and yet, I would say a million to one.  How fun!

That's pretty cool, Cali. It's a small world. Smiley Wink

Now I'm curious about the magazines. Were they expensive?

Re: OT...What a coincidence.

Tex, expensive back then or now ?

Kev has a warped sense of humor, he wants to bring it to the neighbor and apologize for the delay.

LOL, I think that's funny. Are the folks on the mag still across the street?

I meant expensive to buy now.

Re: OT...What a coincidence.

you bought it right?  How cool would it be to take it back to its orignal destination!

Tex, 15 cents in 1946 and he paid $3 for the box.

No, other neighbors there now, at least a different name.

I love things like this too.  I vote on taking it over to the neighbor's.

Re: OT...What a coincidence.

I have only seen the neighbors in passing, they don't speak much English and are rarely home.

Not sure they would understand Kev's humor. Smiley Happy
