Well can`t post a pic for some reason..but I arrowed a spot approx at 8 o`clock on your 1st  pic...Is that a clasp or partial clasp there ??

 

What type of material are they strung on..could be modern beads someone has strung?  I dunno

To me the Cloisonne beads look newer,  made in the last 25 years or so.

Newer than that IIRC.  That scooped out bare metal and enamel style isn't horribly old.

Can finally post a photo..I agree..newer beads..but still curious if this is part of a clasp or just a something?

I saw that too Sarah.  I think it might be the knot on the cord it's strung on.  At least that is what it appeared to be when I blew up the picture.

Though the beauty may be in the butterfly, the struggle and growth occur in the cocoon.
