Re: Tupperware mold number

It could mean the item had multiple parts. What's the number?

Re: Tupperware mold number

I downloaded a parts catalog a few years ago, and it only lists 841 as a 6" Instant Bowl Seal Nat. to fit a Servalier Bowl. Your idea about colors makes as much sense as anything.

Re: Tupperware mold number

Well, you did say "Color??" in your original question, so I supposed they were not the same.

Re: Tupperware mold number

The first three numbers are the item number which includes the color. The numbers after the dash is the mold number it was formed in.

Re: Tupperware mold number

PAST THE DASH: MOLD NUMBERS
The number past the dash of a mold number, is a position number on the mold.. for example 109-7 is for a Bell Tumbler, but they dont make one at a time, so the number past the dash is the position number on the mold. They probably mold 12 Bell Tumblers on one pressing, so the are numbered 109-1 to 109-12.. this becomes important to Tupperware if there is a rash of Bell Tumblers returned for a flaw, they can go to that position of the mold, and make tests and repairs as necessary. And with Tupperware's quality control, that usually happens before the product gets to you!
