Help Identifying Diaz Pottery

I found this jar in Northern California. I have no idea what kind of pottery it is or the maker. It seems to read "DIAZ '74".

Any ideas?

Either a student or studio potter, nearly impossible to ID unless they are active in your area or really, really good.
